Iran War: FG Publishes Emergency Contacts for Nigerians Amid Middle East Crisis

The Federal Government has released emergency contact details for Nigerian diplomatic missions across the Middle East to support citizens affected by the escalating regional conflict.

The advisory was issued in Abuja by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nigeria and signed by its spokesperson, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa.

The ministry stated that the contacts are intended to help Nigerians living in or travelling through the Middle East quickly reach their embassies or consulates for assistance amid rising tensions involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.

“The emergency numbers provided are for Nigerian citizens affected by the ongoing crisis to contact their nearest embassy or consulate and ensure they are registered with the respective mission in their country of residence,” the statement read.

The ministry provided a full list of emergency contacts for Nigerian diplomatic missions in 10 Middle Eastern countries:

The government advised all Nigerians in the region to register with their respective embassies or consulates to facilitate communication and access to emergency assistance.

The advisory follows earlier warnings for Nigerians living in or travelling across Iran and other Gulf countries, amid heightened regional tensions. Diplomatic missions in Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia have reportedly been placed on high alert to provide consular support where necessary.
