Reality TV star and rapper Olamilekan Agbeleshebioba has spoken about his journey to self-discovery, highlighting the importance of inner peace and self-reflection.

The ‘Fierce’ crooner revealed that he temporarily lost his inner voice after winning the fifth season of the Big Brother Naija reality show in 2020, noting that he only rediscovered it a year later.

Speaking in a recent video broadcast titled “Life With Laycon,” the rapper said silence has been the constant factor in his personal journey.

“Has the world ever gone silent on you and all you have left was your own thoughts?” he asked.

“I have been there and I want to share a part of that experience with you. After I won Big Brother Naija in 2020, I lost my inner voice and the first time I heard that voice again was December 2021 after my sold-out concert, The Icons Fest,” he said.

Laycon explained that the moment of reflection came after the concert when he began questioning his life and direction.

“The voice kept asking me questions like, ‘Is this really how you want to live? Are you enjoying yourself? What’s next after this? Are you happy?’ Questions that made me want to sit alone with my thoughts. So that’s what I did,” he said.

According to him, that period of solitude led to several necessary but uncomfortable realizations about himself.

The rapper noted that many people struggle with personal growth because they fear loneliness and silence.

He stressed that although silence can be uncomfortable, it is essential for personal development, describing it as a mirror that reflects one’s life and thoughts.

Laycon urged his fans to embrace moments of solitude and self-reflection, noting that such experiences encourage personal accountability and growth.
