Popular Nigerian influencer and social critic VeryDarkMan has accused Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, of threatening his life, in a development linked to an ongoing feud with content creator King Mitchy.
The allegation was made on Friday afternoon in a video shared on VeryDarkMan’s Instagram page, which quickly went viral.
The dispute stems from King Mitchy’s recent charitable work, including the rapid renovation of a public school with financial support reportedly provided by Seyi Tinubu. VeryDarkMan had previously criticized King Mitchy over alleged failures to account for public donations received since 2025, and accused Seyi Tinubu of sponsoring her projects.
In the latest video, VeryDarkMan warned the public to hold Seyi Tinubu and King Mitchy accountable should anything happen to him. He read excerpts of a conversation allegedly from King Mitchy, claiming the influencer’s life is at risk due to Seyi Tinubu’s influence and connections.
“A threat to my life has been issued. If anything should happen to me and my close ones, hold Seyi Tinubu and King Mitchy responsible. THIS IS NOT A JOKE. I DON’T FEEL SAFE. Seyi Tinubu has the power and connections,” he said.
VeryDarkMan further described attempts by King Mitchy to meet him to “settle” the matter and appease Seyi Tinubu, saying he fears for his safety because of the influence and reach of Seyi Tinubu.
The video adds a new dimension to the public rivalry, drawing attention from Nigerians across social media, while highlighting the intersection of online influence, politics, and public accountability.
