A heartwarming video has captured the playful exchange between former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, at his 88th birthday celebration.
The event, held on Sunday, March 2, at The Delborough Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, was attended by top politicians, dignitaries, and influential figures.
As Obasanjo gave a speech to express his gratitude to guests, former Education Minister, Oby Ezekwesili is seen telling him to say “thank you.”
He did as she said as others at her table watched them, amused.
“Have I not said thank you?” Obasanjo asked after giving in to her request.
Mrs Ezekwesili responded, “You should say, ‘I thank you very much’.”
Obasanjo playfully touched her on the head then said loudly for all to hear, “thank you very much” with a microphone as everyone, including Mrs Ezekwesili, clapped.
