Grace Jerry; Wheelchair Beauty Queen Embraces President Obama and Presents YALI Tribute Song

  Nigerian disability-rights activist and singer was amongst the 500 most promising young leaders invited for the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Mandela Washington Fellowship Presidential Summit at the Omni Shoraham Hotel on 3rd August 2015 in Washington DC.

 An initiative of the U.S. State Department, a three-day summit were youths interact with representatives from the public, private and no-profit sector

 In Grace Jerry’s inspiring introduction of Barack Obama she said, “We
all represent a strong network of young African leaders that will
declare E Go Happen, so let the philosophers and the great minds of this
world get ready to learn from the wisdom of Africa”

Grace’s YALI Tribute song “E Go Happen” was played after President Obama’s remarks.

 The summit brings together 500 of sub-Saharan Africa’s  most promising young leaders to meet with the president and leading US entrepreneurs, government officials and civil society representatives.
