Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, has returned to the country following days of speculation about his health and whereabouts.
In a viral video circulating on Sunday, Edun was seen in Abuja attending an official government business event that brought together a foreign investment delegation as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s economic partnerships.
The minister’s public appearance comes after reports from the presidency last week described him as “indisposed,” with subsequent updates indicating that he had travelled to the United Kingdom. His presence at Sunday’s engagement confirmed that he is back in the country and has resumed official duties.
Edun had earlier been sighted at the 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair in London, where he visited the booth of O’DA Art Gallery, appearing in good spirits despite earlier public concern over his condition.
At the Abuja event, the finance minister was seen interacting with delegates and senior government officials, signaling a return to his regular schedule amid ongoing economic policy discussions and international investment drives.
