Comedian Koffi has called on authorities to arrest social media influencer Michelle Mukoro, popularly known as King Mitchy, following two social media videos in which she recorded herself consuming harmful substances in what he described as “fake” suicide attempts.
The incidents reportedly followed a public dispute between King Mitchy and social critic Very Dark Man over her NGO and unfinished projects. In two livestreams, the influencer consumed different harmful substances in a staged attempt to end her life. She also released a statement claiming she had been admitted to a hospital in Abuja, but the hospital later denied admitting her or having knowledge of the case.
In a video shared online, Koffi condemned the stunt and warned that it could set a dangerous precedent for young people. “Hypo sachet is readily available. It is everywhere. That young lady is sending a signal to a lot of young people of what to do if need be… committing suicide is a crime, and this is a perfect example to set as a warning,” he said. He added that authorities must act immediately to prevent similar incidents.
The FCT Police Command has yet to comment on the situation. Efforts to reach the police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, for a statement were unsuccessful.
