Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has rejected the apology offered by Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, following his decision to take a temporary break from pastoral duties.
It was earlier reported that Pastor Okafor announced during a church service that he would step aside from officiating services throughout January, handing over to other ministers while he takes time off for prayers, rest, and family. He also noted that he and his wife had not rested since their wedding.
Reacting, Ogala said the pastor’s apology and temporary withdrawal from church activities are not enough to address the serious concerns she has raised, particularly regarding the mysterious death of her younger brother.
The actress, who has been outspoken about her grievances, called on Pastor Okafor to publicly explain what he knows about the circumstances surrounding her brother’s death, insisting that stepping down from the altar does not resolve the matter.
In a video message, Ogala dismissed calls for forgiveness, stating that unanswered questions remain.
“Chris Okafor should come and explain to me what happened to my brother. Stepping down from the church is not enough,” she said.
She further alleged that she possesses evidence to back her claims and vowed to make them public.
“I have all the evidence, and I am going to play everything—voice recordings and all the plots,” Ogala said, adding that the issue goes beyond personal grievances and cannot be settled by an apology or temporary leave.
Ogala maintained that she is determined to pursue the matter until she gets clear answers about her brother’s death, describing the pastor’s action as “just the beginning” and not a resolution of her pain.
