MI Abaga
The first segment of the CBN 2019 Tour ,which is the Town Hall Meeting, hosted by MI Abaga and anchored by Ada Afoluwake Ogunke(folu storms) commenced live on the 1st of February 2019, at Mees palace hall, Rayfield jos, plateau state at about 12:00pm, with a word of prayer and welcome speech.
The Town Hall Meeting which was titled Control your Future – Control
Your Economy, sponsored by Osiwa, focused on electoral advancement, voting rights, and
voting power.
The meeting was hosted by MI Abaga, with a guest
speaker from the (NOA)
National Orientation Agency Bala Sangari who spoke on the right voting
procedures and how to over come challenges in the voting process.
He also gave statistics from INEC body, saying,
‘Every election period, the votes drop instead of increasing, many go
out to register, but few go out to vote’. he encouraged and advised the people to vote better.
he
also spoke about the 91 political parties that there are in the
country, and how sad it is that Nigerians only recognize two.
it
was an interactive section which a large part of the audience was the
youths, who also partook actively in the various segments, contributing their rants
to help better the country and played games.
