The Minister of State for Defence and former Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle, is reportedly set to give out nine of his children in marriage on the same day.
Matawalle, who is married to four wives—Aisha, Balkisu, Fatima and Dadiya—is said to be planning a mass wedding ceremony scheduled for February 6, 2026.
According to a general invitation shared by one Dan Jafaru Aleengoo Turakee, the wedding ceremonies of the minister’s sons and daughters will take place at the Central Mosque, Abuja.
Further details from separate wedding invitations revealed some of the couples involved. A former Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Hon. Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya, is set to marry Nana Bello Matawalle.
Similarly, Ibrahim Sahabi Liman will wed Farida Bello Matawalle, while Safiya Bello Matawalle is to marry Yazid Shehu Dan Fulani.
Another groom, Umar Ibrahim Danmaliki, will also tie the knot with Aisha Bello Matawalle on the same day.
The planned ceremony has since attracted public attention due to the number of marriages scheduled to take place simultaneously.
