Nigerian singer Davido has opened up about what his wife, Chioma Adeleke, told him after he missed out on the Grammy Awards once again.
The “FEM” crooner attended the ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday night, February 1, accompanied by his wife and siblings. He was nominated in one of the categories but lost to South African singer Tyla.
After the loss, Davido initially suggested skipping the after-party. However, Chioma’s response impressed him.
Sharing photos from their outing, he wrote on social media: “I said baby listen we lost again, let’s not go! She said ‘Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat’ we outside.”
The post highlighted Chioma’s supportive and wise words, showing her encouragement despite the disappointment at the awards.
