As part of its annual commitment towards enhancing the quality of life and support to widows and the disadvantaged, the Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation held an interactive meeting with widows across different communities.
While speaking, the Executive Director of the foundation, Mrs. Lydia Dachung, said this interaction with widows is part of the foundation’s step towards rendering support to women across different communities devoid of religious and cultural affiliations.
The program manager of the foundation, Mr. Alpha Dali, welcomed the widows, saying that the interactive session is aimed at deepening the understanding of the widows on current and personal issues of life.
The interactive session features a series of talks on women’s personal hygiene, which was delivered by Mrs. Sarah Jeremiah Umaru, the wife of the member representing the Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba federal constituency, Federal House of Representatives Abuja, and dangers of child trafficking, delivered by Barr. Mrs. Olivia Dazyam, Chairman, Plateau State Gender and Equal Opportunities Commission. While Mrs. Esther Judah spoke on food and nutrition. The talks were able to expose the women to the need to safeguard their lives and that of their children.
A goodwill message was delivered by Mrs. Sarah Zakaria Dauda Nyampa, wife of the member representing the Michika Madagali federal constituency at the Federal House of Representatives in Abuja.
The highlight of the occasion was music performances, a launch with the widows, and the presentation of gift items.
