Chioma Adeleke, wife of Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido, has celebrated his announcement as one of the performers at the Coachella 2026 music and arts festival.
Davido is the only Nigerian artist confirmed for the festival, which will run across two weekends — April 10–12 and April 17–19, 2026 — at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California. He is billed to perform on Saturday, April 11 and Saturday, April 18, placing Afrobeats at the centre of the global stage.
Headliners for the 2026 edition include Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Karol G, and Anyma, alongside other big names such as The Strokes, FKA twigs, Young Thug, and South Korean pop group Bigbang.
Reacting to the news, Chioma proudly reposted the official Coachella lineup poster on her Instagram story, adding crying and fire emojis to express her excitement and pride over her husband’s achievement.
Also flying the African flag at the festival are British-Nigerian rapper Little Simz and British-Kenyan singer PinkPantheress, both scheduled to perform on the Sundays, April 12 and 19.
Davido’s inclusion at Coachella marks another milestone in his international career and further highlights the rising influence of Afrobeats on the global entertainment scene.
