In Reaction, famous novelist, Chimamanda Adichie berated the manner in which the UK government reportedly treated the president of Nigeria, Major General Muhamadu Buhari (retd.), who joined other world leaders to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III.
King Charles ascended the British throne on September 8, 2022, after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, and was officially crowned King of England on Saturday 6th May 2023.
In a photo shared, President Buhari was spotted amongst the ‘crowd’.
In her post, she wrote:
“Not for once has UK ever respected us. just imagine where they kept our President. what an insult”
