Popular Nigerian media personality and controversial crossdresser, Bobrisky, has sparked reactions online after claiming that his departure from Nigeria led to the decline of crossdressers who were allegedly impersonating him.
In a recent post on social media, Bobrisky asserted that he played a major role in helping such individuals gain visibility and relevance, insisting that his influence boosted their popularity.
According to him, since he left the country, many of those he described as “wannabe Bobs” have lost public attention, recording low engagement on social media and fading into obscurity.
“But wait!!! As soon as I left Nigeria all dis wanna be Bob in Nigeria engagement and name sank like Titanic yacht,” he wrote, mocking their reduced online interactions.
Bobrisky added that their current social media posts attract very few comments and hidden likes, which he said showed a drastic fall “from fame to followers.”
His remarks have generated mixed reactions online, with some supporters agreeing that his brand and influence are unmatched, while others argue that popularity should be sustained by individual creativity and talent rather than association with a single figure.
