Suspected bandits have abducted Ambassador Bashir Isa Gusau, the North-West Youth Leader of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Organisation in Zamfara State, during a fresh attack in the state capital, Gusau.
The abduction reportedly occurred when no fewer than 30 heavily armed men stormed Gusau’s residence and forcefully took him away in the presence of his wife.
A security analyst, Bakatsine, confirmed the incident on Thursday, January 29, 2026, stating that security agencies were immediately alerted following the attack.
According to him, the gunmen arrived in large numbers and swiftly overpowered any form of resistance before whisking the victim away to an unknown location.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from security authorities on the incident.
