The Nigeria Police Service Commission (PSC) has cautioned cyber cafe operators and their agents against illegally charging individuals seeking to register for Nigeria Police Force (NPF) recruitment.
Torty Njoku Kalu, Head of Protocol and Public Affairs at PSC Headquarters in Abuja, said reports had emerged of some cyber cafes demanding fees of up to ₦15,000 or more from applicants.
The Commission clarified that no part of any such payment is remitted to PSC or other government authorities and vowed to take strict action against anyone involved in these fraudulent activities.
Applicants were advised to access the official recruitment portal directly and avoid intermediaries, as no payment is required at any stage of the recruitment process.
