ADC: Atiku Calls for Unity, Warns Against Internal Attacks on Peter Obi and Himself

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has appealed to supporters to stop attacking Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and himself, warning that internal conflicts weaken opposition unity and undermine Nigeria’s democratic progress.

In a post on his X handle, Atiku said those insulting either him or Obi “do not have the best interests of the leaders, the coalition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), or the country at heart.”

He argued that such divisions only benefit the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing the party of exploiting opposition discord for its own advantage.

“The only persons who benefit from such a civil war are the APC urban bandits who want to maintain the satanic status quo,” Atiku wrote.

The former vice president urged opposition figures and supporters to maintain solidarity, stressing that unity is essential ahead of future political engagements.

“We are better together,” he concluded.
