Ihsanatu Shaaibu has been arrested by the Nigeria Police for physically abusing her stepdaughter, Fa’iza Bala, and causing grievous injuries to the 5-year-old.
Her husband, the father of the child, was also taken into custody.
Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, in a press statement on Thursday, said the arrest was a sequel to a viral video on social media. He said, the suspects were arrested on Thursday 9th Jan 2025, and will be prosecuted as soon as investigations are concluded.
“We will keep you abreast of the proceedings. Thank you”, he added.
