Former Member of the House of Representatives for Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency, Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos, paid a motivational visit to Government Secondary School Hwolse in Jos South Local Government Area.
The visit aimed to inspire students to pursue academic excellence and empower themselves to achieve greatness. Addressing the students, Hon. Bagos urged them to stay focused, aspire for success, and make their families and community proud. “You must strive to gain knowledge that will empower you to become what your families and community are praying for,” he said.
The school principal, Mrs. Elizabeth Adamu Bala, expressed gratitude for Hon. Bagos’ visit, describing it as a commendable gesture. She conducted a tour of the school with the former legislator, showcasing its facilities and areas in need of improvement.
As part of his visit, Hon. Bagos distributed exercise books to the over 700 students in the school. He emphasized that the gesture was a daily reminder for them to work hard and avoid failure. “These books are to encourage you to keep striving and never give up,” he told the students.
In a further demonstration of his commitment to education, Hon. Bagos announced plans to renovate the school’s examination hall. He explained that the initiative aims to provide a conducive environment for students preparing for their Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE).
The announcement was met with loud cheers and applause from the students, who expressed their appreciation for the support and encouragement.
