The highly anticipated 2024 Tin City Fashion Week (TCFW) is set to kick off this weekend, showcasing the best of Plateau State’s fashion, culture, and creativity. The event begins Today, Friday, November 15, with a seminar at Novel Suits, where renowned runway coach Bayo Modela will deliver insights on modeling as a career. The grand showcase follows on Sunday, November 17, at Novel Suits and Resort, promising an unforgettable experience.
This year’s edition will feature 35 top models, carefully selected during competitive screenings at Eliel Center in Jos, based on their confidence, passion, and runway flair. The event is expected to celebrate Plateau’s unique cultural heritage, with a special spotlight on clothing lines crafted from ‘goudo’ fabric—a traditional textile that has gained international acclaim, even catching the eye of Meghan Markle.
Christabel Bentu, CEO of TCFW, expressed excitement about the event’s lineup. “We’re focused on bringing the best of Plateau’s style and talent to the forefront,” she said. “Expect a few surprises for VIPs and special treats for early attendees!”
Adding to the glamour, Nigerian entertainment icons Richard Mofe-Damijo and Hanks Anuku are set to make appearances, underscoring the event’s star power. Now in its fourth year, Tin City Fashion Week has firmly positioned Jos as a rising fashion hub in Nigeria, blending tradition and modernity on the runway.
For fashion enthusiasts and culture lovers, this weekend promises a celebration of Plateau’s vibrant style, making Tin City Fashion Week 2024 a must-attend event.
