The city of Jos came alive over the weekend as the 14th edition of the Joint Gospel Arts and Music Awards (JOGAMA) unfolded in grand style. Held at the Sarau Event Center on Friday, November 15, 2024, the prestigious event honored outstanding gospel artists and creatives for their contributions over the past year.
This year’s highlight was Neken Chuwang, who emerged as one of the biggest winners of the night. He clinched two major awards: ‘Album of the Year’ for his project ‘Focus’ and ‘Indigenous Traditional Fusion and Style Song of the Year’ for his hit track ‘Bege Na.’
Other notable winners included Praise Dot Com, who took home the award for ‘Gospel Comedian of the Year, and Mallam Razphil, who won ‘Male Artiste of the Year. Sarauniya Mamalash also shone brightly, winning ‘Video of the Year’ for her captivating production, ‘Wakar Godiya.
