Former Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency Representative Dachung Musa Bagos pledged continued support for his community, even out of office, during an interview on Rhythm FM Jos with journalist Samson Omale. Bagos emphasized his commitment to initiatives such as scholarships and empowerment programs, stating, “The future depends on the people, and we will keep delivering the dividends of democracy based on what the people want.”
Bagos praised Plateau State Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang’s open-door policy, encouraging citizens to use it to advocate for their needs. “If you have a leader with an open-door policy, use that door to demand the dividends of democracy,” he said, adding that true loyalty should prioritize the people over political affiliations. “The vote of confidence in His Excellency Gov. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang is 100% genuine. The governor is doing well,” Bagos noted.
When asked about the recent bill proposing expanded applications of Islamic law in Nigeria, sponsored by Bauchi lawmaker Aliyu Bappa Misau, Bagos expressed concerns about Nigeria’s unity. He remarked, “The circularity of the Nigerian state exists only on paper, with decisions often influenced by ethnicity, religion, and other divisions.”
Bagos’ remarks reflect his ongoing engagement with Plateau State’s development and his commitment to advocating for equitable governance across Nigeria.
