In a recent development, the Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has lifted the suspension of two commissioners, a special adviser, and a liaison officer, restoring them to their respective offices.
The governor’s decision follows a thorough review of their conduct during the suspension period, with the officials demonstrating improvements that led to their reinstatement.
The officials who have resumed their roles include Hon. Chrysanthus Dawam, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, and Hon. Jamila Tukur, Commissioner for Tourism, Culture, and Hospitality. Also reinstated are Hon. Dio Lamul, Special Adviser on Rural Development, and Hon. Moses Sule, Liaison Officer for Mikang Constituency.
The decision was officially announced by Gyang Bere, Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Executive Governor, on October 1, 2024.
The reinstatement is seen as a strategic move to enhance governance and ensure the effective functioning of these key portfolios within the state administration.
