Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Publicity, has resigned from his position, effective immediately.
In a statement released on Saturday, Ngelale announced that his decision followed extensive consultations with his family, citing deteriorating health as the primary reason for his resignation. He stated that his medical condition had worsened in recent days, prompting him to step down.
Ngelale further disclosed that he has formally notified the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, through a memo. In addition to his resignation as Special Adviser, he has also relinquished his roles as the Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen.
Ngelale’s departure marks a significant change in President Tinubu’s media and advisory team, with no immediate announcement of a successor.
