We urge you to seek divine guidance in your leadership, and we assure you of our prayers and support,” Rev. Lubo stated, on behalf of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
Dr. Julie Sanda, Director General of the Plateau State Peace Building Agency, expressed her honor in formally congratulating the new Chief Imam. She acknowledged him as a fellow peacebuilder and affirmed the agency’s commitment to working closely with him in the pursuit of peace across Plateau State and beyond. “This position you have taken is a position for all of us together in pursuit of peace, not just in Plateau State but across Nigeria. Our vision is to build a Plateau that is at peace with itself and the rest of the world,” Dr. Sanda remarked.
The Revd Dr. Gideon Para-Mallam, President and CEO of The Gideon and Funmi Para-Mallam Peace Foundation, lauded the Chief Imam as a passionate advocate for peacebuilding and cohesion. He expressed his foundation’s high regard for the Imam as a revered Muslim scholar and reiterated their commitment to continued collaboration on peace initiatives in Plateau State. “We pray that your tenure as Chief Imam will further drive our collective efforts towards achieving lasting peace in Plateau State,” Dr. Para-Mallam said.
In his response, the Chief Imam appreciated the visit, describing it as a significant show of support and togetherness. He highlighted the importance of such gestures in promoting peace and expressed hope that these efforts would lead to enduring peace in Plateau State.
