The Plateau State Government has announced a further relaxation of the curfew in the Jos-Bukuru metropolis, citing improvements in the security situation and the responsible conduct of residents.
Effective from Saturday, August 10, 2024, residents will be allowed to carry out their daily activities between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. The curfew adjustment was authorized by Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang after consultations with security agencies, aiming to balance public order with the need for economic activity.
Governor Mutfwang expressed his gratitude to the people of Plateau State for their cooperation and resilience during these challenging times. He also commended the security personnel for their dedication in maintaining peace and urged residents to continue collaborating with security agencies to ensure the safety and prosperity of the state.
The revised curfew hours will remain in effect until further notice.
