The Plateau State Government has announced a further relaxation of the curfew in the Jos-Bukuru metropolis following an improvement in the security situation. Effective Thursday, August 8, 2024, residents are now allowed to move freely from 12 noon to 6 pm daily until further notice.
Governor Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, after consultations with security agencies, authorized the easing of the curfew, emphasizing the government’s commitment to making decisions that prioritize the well-being of the people.
The Governor praised residents for their peaceful conduct during the curfew and urged them to continue cooperating with security agencies to ensure the ongoing safety and security of the state.
