Iconic Nigerian singer Onyeka Onwenu has passed away shortly after performing at a birthday party on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
According to an unnamed eyewitness, Onwenu had just performed at the birthday celebration of Mrs. Stella Okoli when she suddenly collapsed.
“It is very sad. Onyeka Onwenu just performed at the birthday of Mrs. Stella Okoli today, and after performing, she slumped,” the eyewitness reported.
Onwenu was immediately taken to Reddington Hospital, but unfortunately, she did not survive.
