The Riyom Local Government Council has established a new committee dedicated to the recovery of assets allegedly taken by the previous administration. The announcement was made today by Zamfara Iveh, Secretary of the Assets Recovery Committee.
The committee’s primary objective is to locate and recover all movable and immovable assets belonging to the Riyom Local Government that are unaccounted for. This initiative aims to ensure that resources are restored to benefit the community and support ongoing and future projects.
Citizens of Riyom Local Government Area and the general public are urged to assist the committee by providing any useful information regarding the whereabouts of these assets. Additionally, individuals with knowledge of any contracts abandoned by contractors previously engaged with the Council are requested to report such details.
Information can be submitted through a written memorandum to the committee within two weeks of this announcement. The council stresses the importance of public cooperation in this significant effort to enhance the efficiency and transparency of the local government.
