Ambassador Yemi Matthew has been honored with the 2023 Top 100 Changemakers Honorary Award by the Toyin Wiggins Centre for Leadership and Mentoring Initiative (TWCLMI). This recognition celebrates his significant contributions to positive change in Plateau State.
Amb. Yemi Matthew is a dynamic minister with The Redeemed Christian Church of God, heading the Media Directorate and serving as the Youth Pastor for Plateau Province. He is also known as an influencer, life coach, mentor, media practitioner/consultant, grassroots mobilizer, and philanthropist. Widely recognized for anchoring and organizing Christian events in North-Central Nigeria, he has earned the affectionate title “Body of Christ.”
Matthew’s accolades include the Leadership Award of Excellence, Henniels Impact Award, NFF Media Award of Excellence, Oakland Award of Excellence, and recently, the WOWICAN Impact Award, among others.
After receiving the award, Amb. Yemi Matthew expressed gratitude to Jesus Christ, attributing all his achievements to divine grace. He thanked the organizers for the recognition and dedicated the award to God, who he credits with saving him from a severe car accident 19 years ago. He also dedicated the award to his wife, Deaconess Florence Matthew, their children Michael and Michelle, and the Matthew family. Matthew affirmed that this recognition would inspire him to continue his impactful work with God’s help.

The annual conference organized by TWCLMI is essential for mentorship, training, influence, support, information dissemination, and opportunity creation. With over 30 dedicated volunteers, the center aims to nurture purposeful, passionate, and knowledgeable emerging leaders.
Over the past decade, TWCLMI has implemented various programs addressing gender justice, digital training for women, skill empowerment for orphans and internally displaced persons, access to free medical care, scholarships for high school students, and leadership training for thousands of students and teachers across multiple states.
