Senator Jonah Jang has expressed great joy at the news of the Supreme Court’s judgment, confirming Governor Caleb Mutfwang as the duly elected Governor of Plateau State. Senator Jang attributes this victory to the mercy of God, emphasizing that the governor’s success is not only a personal triumph but a broader win for democracy against anti-democratic forces.
Recalling the challenges faced in countering attempts to manipulate the people’s will, Senator Jang extends gratitude to the justices for upholding the Rule of Law and preserving the judiciary as the last hope of the common man. He praises the Plateau people for their vigilance and resistance, acknowledging their role in condemning injustice.

However, he highlights that all hope is not lost, as the government of Plateau state and the Peoples Democratic Party have petitioned the National Judicial Council to review these judgments.
Senator Jang urges authorities to restore the people’s true representatives and their mandate.
