President Bola Tinubu is currently presiding over the third Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting since he assumed office. The FEC meeting began around 2:00 p.m. and is taking place at the Council Chambers of the State House in Abuja.
Key attendees at the meeting include the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, ministers, the Head of Service of the Federation, Olurwmi Yemi-Esan, Special Advisers, and other top government functionaries.
This is the third edition of the FEC meeting under the Tinubu administration.
The inaugural meeting was held in August where new ministers attended to take their first brief from the executive arm on their roles and responsibilities in the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The second FEC meeting took place last week Monday during which three new ministers were sworn in.
The FEC is a constitutional institution where government policies are discussed and endorsed by Ministers, with the President serving as the Chairman and the Vice President as the Vice Chairman.
