Presidency Celebrates As FBI Rejects Request To Release Confidential Files On Tinubu

The Presidency is celebrating after the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) declared that it would not release confidential files pertaining to President Bola Tinubu to the public.

This was made public on Monday by The United States federal agency in response to a suit filed before the United States District Court of the District of Columbia by an American activist, Aaron Greenspan.

Greenspan is seeking to compel the FBI, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to release documents about Tinubu and one Mueez Adegboyega Akande.

Reacting in a post via his official X handle, Presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, said the FBI gave Atiku, the 2023 Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a deadly blow by rejecting Greenspan’s request.

Onanuga said the rejection by the FBI came on the day the former Vice President of Nigeria spoke about the dismissal of his appeal by the Supreme Court.

He wrote: “FBI gives Atiku, Obi deadly blow On a day that sore loser Atiku Abubakar was ranting in Abuja about the trashing of his appeal in the Supreme Court, the FBI and other US agencies dealt him another devastating blow.

“In a response to the emergency motion of Aaron Greenspan, their contractor in Washington DC, attorneys for the agencies and the US Justice Department said the FBI never promised to release any document on President Tinubu.

“This clarification debunked the false news circulated earlier in the social media space by one David Hundeyin, who practices a brand of ‘investigative journalism’ according to his own confession by ‘stealth’, as if journalism is the same as working for DSS or CIA.

“In the desperation of these conspirators, they shot themselves in the legs by filing their emergency motion, which was challenged by Tinubu’s lawyers. That counter-move effectively disrupted the conspiracy.

“FBI and other agencies have now said the emergency motion and the case arising from it, effectively meant a stay of action over the earlier court order.

“They said, based on the earlier order, they didn’t plan to release documents, even if they have them, about the Nigerian leader, as he is entitled to his privacy. And so another voyage of discovery in America has ended badly for those politicians propelled chiefly by malice.”
