The Nigerian Senate has successfully completed the screening process for 45 out of the 48 ministerial nominees put forward by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
During its plenary session on Tuesday, August 7, the Senate confirmed the appointments of 45 nominees as members of the cabinet. Senate President Godswill Akpabio conducted a series of voice votes for the nominations, with the remaining three nominees still undergoing security clearance.
Notably, those undergoing security clearance are former Governor of Kaduna State Nasir El-Rufai, Stella Okotete representing Delta State, and Abubakar Danladi from Taraba State.
