Malam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, held a meeting with the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) on Thursday in Abuja to address the escalating security challenges facing the nation.
The meeting also discussed the smooth distribution of palliatives to alleviate the impact of the removal of subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and the recently enacted electricity act.
In a statement posted on Twitter today, the chief press secretary to Niger State Governor, Mohammed Bago, Bologi Ibrahim, said Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq chaired the meeting.
“Governor Mohammed Bago of Niger state was among his counterparts across the country in a meeting of the NGF in Abuja,” Ibrahim wrote on the microblogging platform.
“The meeting which was held behind closed doors was chaired by the NGF chairman who doubles as Kwara state Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
“The national security adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, was also at the meeting, which centred on the nation’s security, fuel subsidy palliatives interventions, a review of the National Executive Council agenda, and a brief on the new electricity act,” he added.
