A resident of Nasarawa State has taken to social media platform X to share photos depicting the distribution of Federal government palliatives intended to alleviate the hardship caused by the removal of fuel subsidy. The distribution occurred in Keffi, a local government within Nasarawa State.
Recall that the Federal Government approved 5 billion naira for each state to help them buy food items to share to the poor in their respective localities.
This is so as to cushion the perceived effects of hardship brought on by the removal of subsidy on those at the lower social strata.
However, recent photos of the supposed food items shared to some localities has stirred reactions.
A Facebook user, Shuraih Usman took to his Facebook page to share some of the amount of food items shared to his LG in Keffi.
@Ms Ingawa an advocate on X reposted the report with the caption …
“This is how palliative was distributed in some LGs in Nasarawa State as reported by beneficiary.”
