In a distressing recurrence just one week after the assault on traders in Heipang community, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, unidentified attackers have once again taken lives, this time claiming the lives of two female traders.
The victims were on their way back from Kinat Community, located in the neighboring Mangu Local Government Area, when they fell prey to the bandits on Friday evening.
Moses Jat, a survivor of the attack, confirmed the incident to The PUNCH in Jos on Saturday, revealing that Fulani herdsmen were responsible for the assault. The attackers killed two individuals and left two others injured. The injured victims are currently receiving medical treatment in the hospital.
Jat said, “Fulani herdmen attacked some women of kinat community coming from the market yesterday (Friday) evening. They killed two people and two other persons also sustained injuries.
“Those who were injured are currently receiving treatment in the hospital . But the question is what exactly did this people want that they are attacking even traders who were returning from the market ? It is by the Grace of God that some of us escaped the attack.
