Nigeria returned to winning ways at the Japoma Stadium in Douala, Cameroon, with a convincing 2-0 victory over the Central African Republic on Sunday, October 10.
First-half goals from Leon Balogun and Victor Osimhen helped the Super Eagles defeat the same opponents who won them four days ago in Lagos.
Balogun latched on to a cross to beat the CAR goalkeeper at his near post before Osimhen got the second goal just before the half-time break.
Victory in Douala on Sunday saw Gernot Rohr’s men take a massive step towards qualification for the knockout and final phase of qualification for Qatar 2022 World Cup
The Super Eagles now lead the group with nine points from four games.
