Colonel Samuel G Fwangje Rtd has commensurated with the Government and People of Plateau State over the attacks that have claimed lives and immeasurable destruction of property across the state within the last one month.
The retired senior ranking officer of the Nigerian Army, SG Fwangje, made this known during an interaction with Journalist in Jos. He particularly sympathized with the families of those who lost their lives and property in the unfortunate incidents in Bassa, Riyom and Jos North LGAs and prayed to God to comfort them.
He used the opportunity to appreciate the Chief of Defence Staff General Lucky Irabo, who is Col Fwangje’s Coursemate, a member 34 Regular Course, for coming to Jos for an on-the-spot assessment of the security efforts in containing the situation. He also used the opportunity to appreciate the Chief of Defence Staff for clarifying the purpose for the merging of 3 Division Maxwell Kobe Cantonment with the Special Task Force known as the Operation Safe Haven (OPSH).
Col SG Fwangje specially commended the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Rt Hon (Dr) Simon Bako Lalong for his resilience for his steadfastness in the face of herculean security situation in Plateau State. He urged all stakeholders to support the Government to achieve peace and stability in Plateau State.
He called on citizens to be security conscious at all times, be alert and report any suspicious movements or persons to security operatives to help achieve incremental peace in Plateau State.
