Usman Abubakar, popularly known as Peace Ambassador, has called on President Muhmmadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to fulfill the promises made to those who trekked to Abuja to show their joy over the victory of the president in the 2015 election.
He also called on the president to fulfil the campaign promises he made to millions of Nigerians before his election and re-election.
Benue/Plateau Trust reports that Abubakar had, after the declaration of President Buhari as the winner of the 2015 election, joined others to trek to Abuja.
Jos-based Abubakar, told Benue/Plateau in Jos that he did the trekking to show his solidarity with the president and was honoured with a certificate of commendation by APC.
He said all those who trekked to Abuja were issued certificates and promised employment but nothing had been done for five years now.
“We are not asking for money from the president or any government but begging them to employ us since we have gone to school. We were told to keep the certificates and the party would look for us but since that time, nobody has called us,” he said.
