Plateau South Decides: Prof Nora Daduut Is A Woman Well Rounded In Service

Prof.
(Mrs.) Dame Nora Ladi Daduut
could possibly emerge as the first ever Plateau Female Senator as a replacement for Late Senator Ignatius Longjang with the race hotting up for who will represent Plateau south in the red chamber in Abuja.

Though it will be a fierce contest ahead for who will clinch the Senatorial ticket, however Professor Nora stands tall amongst the rest not just because she is grounded in community development and humanitarian services but her vast experience as a civil servant and working in the academia, meaning she is well rounded in service with no record of mismanagement.

Overtime She has continued to emphasize on how she is being drawn to serve her immediate community even setting up a nongovernmental
organizationin 2004 “Society for community Concerns”to help
communities utilize their local potentials for self-development. Her concerns in seeking the senatorial sit includes enacting legislative principles that will affect the lives of the people positively and executing several
programs including water and sanitation hygiene, adult education, agricultural training through community mobilization and
participation, sustainable development among
others.

Mrs. Nora Ladi Dadut, currently a Professor of French in the University of Jos. hails from Qua’pan Local Government Area in the Southern Senatorial
District of the State. She has been Principal and Education Director for years with her educational career starting in 1961 in R.C.M School
Kwalla when she willingly followed her older siblings to school. Despite
being under-aged, Nora’s class records were so impressive that at
Primary 2, when she was due for promotion to primary 3, she was promoted
to Primary 4. Those excellent records continued till she obtained her
Doctorate in 1991.

Failure for her, though inevitable, should never be a result of one’s
failure to strive for perfection.

She is a member of the Lady Knight of St. John’s
Int’l and the second Supreme Vice-President in the whole world. Married to Mr. John Dadut and blessed with four children,
Jonathan Dadut, a Civil Engineer in Canada, Jumai Apata, a Medical

opportunities to excel in life,” she said.

Prof Nora can be best described as an assurance to the people of Plateau south of quality representation, offering the desired change that if given the
opportunity would expand the network of her community through improved
health care, education and wealth creation in rural communities thereby cutting down on the social and economic
deprivations faced by the people.
