COVID-19: Plateau Discharges Index Case, Records One New Case of Coronavirus

The COVID-19 Index case in Plateau State has been reported discharged after testing negative to coronavirus and recovering fully with recent tests. The patient has now been reported recovered and fit to reintegrate into the community.

I am happy to announce that the COVID-19 index case in Plateau State has tested negative twice after treatment, and is fit for discharge.

Kudos to the Plateau COVID-19 Task Force and the Medical Team for being on top of their game.

Together, we shall defeat Corona Virus.

 

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, Thursday confirmed 381 new cases of COVID-19 including one in Plateau State.

This brings total confirmed cases in Nigeria to 3526 out of which 601 have recovered and 107 have died.

Plateau
State has recorded five cases so far with the Thursday new case. Its
index case is rumoured to have been discharged. None of its patients has
died so far.

According to Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC, out of the 195
new cases of COVID-19, 183 were recorded in Lagos, 55 in Kano, 44 in
Jigawa, 19 in Zamfara, 19 in Bauchi, 11 in Katsina, 9 in Borno, 8 in
Kwara, 7 in Kaduna, 6 in Gombe, 5 in Ogun, 4 in Sokoto, 3 in Oyo,  3 in
Rivers, 2 in Niger, 1 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Enugu and  1 in Plateau.

Nigeria now has 3526 confirmed cases of COVID-19. 601 patients have
been discharged from various Isolation centers across the country, while
107 deaths have been recorded.
