Nigerians have reacted in shock to the removal of Muhammadu Sanusi II as the Emir of Kano.
The State Secretary to the Government, Usman Alhaji on Monday, March
9, revealed that Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has been dethroned. He cited
Sanusi’s disrespect to lawful instructions from the government as a
reason for his dethronement.
He added that a replacement will soon be announced.
HRH Emir Muhammed
Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the Emir or Kano has been dethroned by the
Government of Ganduje. This is a tragedy that should have ended with
militarism, a big loss to quality leadership at our traditional levels.

Well, Nigerians who have been following the crisis between Kano State
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II have reacted to
the news. Some opined that Ganduje was allegedly caught receiving
bribes and as such, he has no moral justification to dethrone Sanusi.
