The team of 60Goals Soccer Stars Project led by Ms. Jane Ndubuisi and Francis Ikechukwu, were hosted in Abuja on Monday 12th January by NEXT Satellite Television, the new Tv Rights owners of the Nigerian Professional Football League.
The meeting was geared towards strengthening sports marketing, promotion and recognizing talents within Nigeria. Ms. Jane Ndubuisi, (Fifa intermediary Agent)CEO of 60 Goals Global and National Coordinator of Soccer Stars Project, said the project is a talent search and scouting exercise aimed at discovering and promoting young talented football stars in Nigeria to join a European league side.
Francis Ikechukwu, Former Nigerian International Under 23 Player, General Manager of 60 Goals Global/ Project Manager of Soccer stars project also explained how the project has held screening exercises in 5 states with more to come. He described how the project has provided young talents with the necessary technical support, foreign coaches, knowledge and skill set required to thrive at international level, as well as empower local coaches to build better teams and develop better stars as such 60Goals Soccer Stars Project was open to partnership to ensure more is done.
The Executive Director of NEXT TV, HRH Prince Malik Ado-Ibrahim acknowledged the laudable efforts of the 60Goals Soccer Stars Project and said his organization was rooted in sports promotion given their recent takeover as TV rights owners for the Nigerian Professional Football League. As such NEXT TV was willing to support 60Goals Soccer Stars Project in ways that will encourage more sporting activities. He noted with delight that NEXT Television will be launched with a media footprint of over 100% of African content and will provide DTH, OTT, Pay per View, Video on Demand, e-gaming, and internet connectivity to all clients in a state of the art decoder and dish system which will be affordable.
The League Management Company (LMC) reached TV rights deal with NEXT TV back in December 2019. A 5-year deal worth over $200 million in ‘Projected’ income and other commercial inflows.
