At
least no fewer than 100 women were assaulted by security personnel in
Jos, the Plateau state capital after hostilities that lead to the death
of five youths at Ungwan Miango popularly called Mansion and Dutse Uku,
University of Jos community where crises engulfed in the early hours of
Sunday.
Reports gathered from the
community that they have complained of unwarranted attacks on the
Christian natives whose youths were murdered by the Muslim youths but
the security rather than nip the issue in the bud, they resulted in
beating them even with them still mourning the death of five Youths
including the youth leader.
They
community explained further that one of them sighted some Muslim youths
carrying out a dead Christian youth where they headed to bury him, but
when they raised alarm they abandoned the body and escaped with no
single security coming to investigate the real cause of the crisis, but
alleged that the security personnel only arrived the scene and began
shooting where 5 persons were killed.
