The Plateau state Government wishes to bring to the attention of its
citizens that the fire incident involving a petrol tanker on Monday 25th
February, 2019 at Bok filling station near Miango Jos has been brought
under control.
This followed the timely intervention of men of the fire service and good spirited members of the public.
The government appeals for calm as the relevant security agencies investigate the cause of the incident.
Members of the public are hereby called upon to disregard insinuations
meant to blow the incident out of proportion and create anxiety.
The government assures members of the public of its commitment to safety of life and property.
Governor Simon Lalong commends citizens for their peaceful conduct
during the Presidential and National Assembly polls, and urges the
people to sustain their peaceful disposition at all times and in
subsequent elections.
